International Home USA(IHUSA) was originally founded in 2011 and started as a DBA in 2013 under Miyagi Inc by Mia Miyagi.
IHUSA helps encourage younger Japanese adult students to realize their hopes and dreams by facilitating homestay in the US., mainly in Las Vegas, NV. with bilingual and bicultural support for both sides.
Over the years, Japan’s younger population, in the country safe and peaceful, has been drastically diminishing over the years.
The students of the caring families with resources send their families abroad to study, trust IHUSA to find excellent homes where American ‘dream big thinking’ and warm hearts reside.
Through our homestay program, American hosts can help their guests discover inspirations and student can renew their vision for the future with an infusion of the best of American culture and generous hearts of their hosts.
When the student returns to their mother country to realize their dreams, they are better equipped to achieve their ultimate goals. At the same time, they can influence the Japanese people around them in a positive way and hope to create an endless ripple effect.
International Home USA’s background and why Mia started this opportunity.
International Home USA started unexpectedly. The seed of opportunity may have started when Mia was in the middle school in Japan.
Mia’s Japanese teacher Mr. Miyagi (not related) invited her and other students to visit him when they grew up to read our essay we’ve just written. In 2011, prior to returning to my homeland, I asked my sister if she could find Mr. Miyagi. It truly was destined because the very next day her sister found out her co-worker’s girlfriend is the daughter of Mr. Miyagi! What a small world. After 40 years, Mia and Mr. Miyagi met again. He encouraged Mia to visit the mayor of the town where she grew up. It turns out the mayor was her PE teacher in middle school. The mayor asked Mia if she can do something about giving hopes and dreams for the young generation of Japan by helping them be exposed in the world? He inspired Mia in so many ways that she decided to start International Home USA.
The company provides the exciting opportunities to host the foreign students primarily from Japan which in returns provides host families with an extra income.
The company is looking for host families who can provide a family atmosphere and learning environment, and be the personable representative of the United States. The ideal host family must have time to exchange cultural moments and to have fun with it.
The company is always looking for dedicated host families who are able to see the philanthropical world in a big picture and willing to accommodate the international students into their family for their short memorable academical duration in the US.
